Wong was shown on the Chase Center Jumbotron as she waved back to fans. The star, who has two Golden Globes and two Primetime Emmy Awards, made history as the first Asian woman to win a lead acting Emmy.
Wong does not hide her love of the Bay Area. In her victory speech earlier this year at the Golden Globes, Wong honored her San Francisco roots as a reason for her success. Wong attended San Francisco University High School in Pacific Heights.
In March, she was seen dining with her boyfriend — fellow comedian and actor Bill Hader — at Turtle Tower in the Financial District.
Wong was voted as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2020 and 2023.
