The big day for the graduating class of Mountain Home is set for Friday with 271 students gearing up to get their diplomas and take the next step in their lives.
College Career Coach Jodi Hill says this year has seen 84 percent of seniors committed to enrolling in higher education, a significant increase compared to previous years, many of them achieving honors.

This week has been all about honoring these students and showing how their hard work is paying off. Last Tuesday, a Scholarship Banquet was held and Hill says $381,000 was awarded in local scholarships at the event. She estimates nearly $5.3 million have been awarded to graduates in total this year.
