BPCC has been ranked a top-ten military-friendly school for 15 consecutive years. The college earned national recognition as both a top-ten military-friendly school and a top-ten military-friendly spouse school. Bossier Parish Community College is a beacon of opportunity for our veterans, active-duty military, and their families,” said Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. “To be nationally recognized for the 15th year in a row, and now as a Top Ten Military Friendly School and Spouse School, affirms our mission and motivates us to continue raising the bar.”
The school’s ranking can be attributed to its Veterans Resource Center (VRC), which opened in 2018. The VRC provides military and veteran students with essential military support services at the state and federal levels. Susan Stakes, BPCC’s Veterans Resource Center Director, called the center an inviting space for all things military, including benefits, resources, and camaraderie.
