Body found inside fire damaged Kentucky home

In a Friday, May 16, press release, Kentucky State Police said the Bedford Fire Department was called to a reported structure fire on Carlisle Road.

According to KSP, an “unidentified deceased human body” was found inside the home. The identity of the deceased is not known at this time, and the remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office for further testing.

Trooper Chad Johnson wrote that KSP is handling the death and fire investigation.
