The incident happened at Allsup’s at the intersection near N 10th Street and Willis Street just before 1:00 p.m.
Police at the scene told KTAB and KRBC two parties were involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the convenience store and during the altercation, they pulled guns on each other.
One of the suspects fired a shot, which did not hit anybody.
The suspect who fired the shot fled the the scene. Police have been unable to locate him and do believe he was injured in some capacity, though they did not disclose how. The other party involved remained on scene and says he was acting out of self defense.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
