By rssfeeds-admin The Safe Sitter program, a medically accurate class which teaches young people how to handle emergencies when caring for children, returns to the Schliemann Center for Women’s Health this summer. The program is designed to teach safe child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.
Each session will include two-day classes every other week with the first session starting June 10 and 11 and the final session July 22 and 23.
Stefany Isham, Coordinator for the Schliemann Center, says this program will help children feel more confident.

Isham also notes students will learn valuable safety lessons they can take home with them.

On July 23, parents are asked to come by at 2:30 so kids can demonstrate what skills they learned as a graduation ceremony.
The cost for the course is $35, but scholarships are available for families who struggle to meet the cost. Participants can register by calling 870-508-2345.
The Schliemann Center for Women’s Health is located at 606 Broadmoor Drive in Mountain Home.
