According to a news release from the Indy DPW, crews will begin to resurface East 86th Street and Center Run Drive between Allisonville Road and 82nd Street on Friday. Officials said that this is expected to include an overnight closure of the intersection of Allisonville Road and 86th Street on Sunday.
The release said drivers should expect the following work:
Officials said after the resurfacing work, crews are expected to install new video detection systems at “key intersections” to help improve signal timing and long-term traffic safety. The release said that signs, cones and barricades will be in place to guide traffic and protect crews.
The release said that temporary pavement markings will be used for now and final striping will be finished at a later date.
“Indy DPW appreciates your patience during this project,” the release said. “Please plan ahead, watch for posted signs, and drive carefully in the work zone.”
