Haverford High School senior, David “Chet” Ebert and caddie at Llanerch Country Club is receiving the Platt Evans Scholarship, for caddies that organizers say is valued at $125,000. According to their website, “As the result of a partnership between the Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Foundation and the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust, the Platt Evans House opened on the Penn State University Campus in the fall of 2019. Platt Evans Scholars are chosen based on a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need, and outstanding character.”

Chet and Llanerch Country Club Caddie Master Chris Wright joined us in the PHL17 studio to talk to us all about it.
