Ex-CPSO deputy faces charges for contraband and malfeasance
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) — Officials began an investigation after information on April 21 in regards to a correctional deputy allegedly bringing contraband in the Calcasieu Correctional Center (CCC), deputies said.
Dalronique Q. Ross, 20, of Lake Charles was arrested and charged with malfeasance in office and introduction of contraband into a penal facility on May 13, deputies said.

During the investigation, deputies said they discovered Ross conspired with others with others to purchase and distribute paper sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids into the CCC.
On May 6, Ross was terminated from CPSO and the investigation continued. On May 13 Judge David Ritchie signed a warrant for Ross’ arrest, officials said.
Ross’s bond is set at $50,000. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
