The crash unfolded at around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday morning in the northbound lanes of I-55 near Lemont Road in Woodridge, according to Illinois State Police (ISP) troopers.
Because of the crash, troopers closed all northbound lanes of I-55 at Woodward Avenue. I-355 northbound lanes to I-55 northbound are also closed.
SkyCam9 was over the scene around 11:10 a.m. when crews had appeared to have gotten the truck back on its wheels, though it could still be seen blocking all inbound lanes of I-55. Drivers appeared to be inching past the crashed truck using the shoulder.
The crash also appeared to be causing significant delays for drivers. Backups could be seen along I-55 all the way to Route 53.
Currently, it is unclear how long the road closures will last or what led to the crash.
Authorities said nobody was injured in the crash and an investigation is underway.
