7 OSU softball players named to all-WCC team

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Oregon State softball team received seven All-WCC honors from the league on Wednesday, the most the program has seen in a single season since 2018.

Logan Hulon and Jada Lewis made first-team. Ellie Garcia and Morgan Howey were second-team selections, while Jaeya Butler and Tristian Thompson earned honorable mentions. Paige Bambarger made the All-Freshman team.

Hulon led the conference in strikeouts (167) and wins (13) during her senior season. The pitcher recorded double-digit strikeouts in three games and is also a member of the WCC’s academic team and a two-time WCC Pitcher of the Week.

Lewis played a significant part in Oregon State’s offense in 2025, leading the Beavers in batting average (.383), runs scored (29), and stolen bases (16). She finished her first season with the Beavs on a five-game hitting streak.

Garcia was also named to the league’s All-Academic Team and finished her senior season ranked fifth in the league in both strikeouts (94), as well as keeping opposing batters to a .263 batting average.

The junior outfielder Howey made her first all-conference team this season after starting in all 47 games for the Beavs. She led Oregon State in hits (49), at-bats (151), games played (47), and sacrifice bunts (4).

The sophomore shortstop Butler led the team in total bases (74), doubles (11), and tied for the team lead in at-bats (151).

Another second-year player, Thompson, paced the offense with team-highs in home runs (10), RBIs (32), and slugging percentage (.538).

The freshman Bambarger had a successful first collegiate season, starting all 47 Oregon State games in 2025 at second base. She led the Beavers in triples (2)
