The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday on the 5800 block of West Schbert Avenue in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.
According to police, a 27-year-old woman and two men, ages 38 and 45, were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by two offenders who fired shots into the vehicle.
The offenders then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Police said the 45-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and is listed in critical condition. The 38-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound in the shoulder and is listed in good condition. The 27-year-old female sustained two gunshot wounds in the leg and is listed in good condition.
The victims all self-transported to Community First Hospital, police said.
No one is in custody. Area Five detectives are investigating.
