ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday after Rockford Police responded to reports of a teen with a gun on E. State Street.
Around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, officers were called to the 4400 block of E. State for a report of an armed subject.
The teen was detained and found to be in possession of a loaded gun that had been reported stolen, a large capacity magazine, and a bottle of Xanax.
The teen was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a weapon without a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification, and possession of a controlled substance.
The suspect was booked into the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
