Christina Aguilera, LCD Soundsystem set to headline Portola Music Festival

(KRON) – A festival so hype you can hear it across the Bay waters is letting festivalgoers know the headliners. Portola Music Festival has announced the headliners for the mostly EDM (electronic dance music) event. 

Dance-punk revival band LCD Soundsystem and pop music icon Christina Aguilera are set to headline on Saturday, Sept. 20. 

Duke Mumont, Magdalena Bay, Kelly Lee Owens and Zach Fox are on the bill for the first day. Electronic music duo The Chemical Brothers will have a DJ set in the warehouse, according to the festival flyer. 

Australian house music producer and DJ Dom Dolla and South Korean DJ Peggy Gou,  British electronic music group Underworld and English electronic music band The Prodigy are set to headline the second and final day. 

Rico Nasty, Kreayshawn, Dylan Brady, and many others are gracing the stage on Sept. 21. 

This year marks the third annual Portol festival. The concert is known to be at Pier 80 in San Francisco.   

Festival passes will be available for presale on Wednesday, May 14, at noon. 

In 2022, Alameda residents complained that they could hear the music from across the Bay. Authorities received so many calls that the Alameda Police Department issued a community alert regarding the noise.
