Samaria Redic, of Alexandria, was taken into custody on May 12 and charged with one count of manslaughter in the death of 58-year-old Jerry Chesser. She was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center, according to a release from the Alexandria Police Department.
Chesser died following an assault last month. Police did not provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.
