Ventra app back up and running, Metra confirms

CHICAGO — The Ventra app is back up and running after experiencing an outage Monday morning.

Social media users started reporting issues with the app on both Metra and the CTA around 6 a.m.

As of 8 a.m., the Ventra app was working again, according to a Metra spokesperson

It is unknown what caused the outage.
