On May 11 just after 1:15 a.m., officers were patrolling the 1700 block of Broadway when they heard several gunshots nearby. Simultaneously, there were multiple ShotSpotter Activations and OPD received several calls about the gunfire.
When the officers responded to 19th Street and Telegraph Avenue, they found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The shooting victim was taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics where they were last listed in stable condition, according to OPD.
Two more victims were privately transported to the hospital. One of them was listed in stable condition while the other was last reported in critical condition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPD Criminal Investigation Division at (510)238-3728. If you have any videos or photos that could assist with the investigation, please send them to cidvideos@oaklandca.gov
