By rssfeeds-admin NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in the Dixon neighborhood.
According to NOPD officers, around 5:45 a.m. on Monday, May 12, a man was walking near the corner of Airline Drive and Eagle Street when he was struck by a Dodge vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found the man unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.
NOPD officers said the driver stayed on the scene but is not currently charged with any violations.
The Orleans Parish Coroners Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
