Fresno County teachers treated to $9K worth of Panda Express

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif (KSEE/KGPE) – Panda Express donated $9,000 worth of Panda bowls to Central Valley educators this week, “as a sign of gratitude for their dedication to educating and inspiring their students.”

The Chinese take-out said they gave away vouchers for 1,311 Panda Bowls to teachers across 19 Fresno schools for Teacher Appreciation Week.

“Teachers are the backbone of our communities and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our society,” said Noel Resendez, local Panda Express Area Coach of Operations. “Giving back to the communities we serve is a pillar of our brand identity and we are grateful to have an opportunity to recognize these educators for their hard work and passion!”

In Fresno, educators for Holland, Gibson, West Park, Tatarian, Nelson, and Wolters elementary schools were treated. Teachers at Grand View and Roosevelt elementary schools in Dinuba and Pinedale Elementary in Pinedale also received free bowls.

Porterville teachers at Hope, West Putnam, John J. Doyle, Roche Avenue, Olive Street, Vandalia, and Belleview elementary schools, along with Monache High School and Pioneer, and Bartlett Middle School, were also recognized.

In addition to the free bowls, Panda Express says they are also in the process of providing a combined 330 free lunches for faculty and staff across four Fresno schools, including McCardle, Pyle, Hope, and James Madison elementary schools.
