SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Starbucks has confirmed it is closing another store in downtown San Francisco.

The Starbucks at 1255 Battery Street in Levi Strauss Plaza (also known as Levi’s Plaza) will officially shut its doors on Friday, May 16.

The location is a favorite go-to for work professionals in the area. Coffee lovers were greeted to a sign taped on the shop’s door confirming the closure.

Starbucks released the below statement to KRON4 on Friday.

As part of Starbucks standard course of business, we continually evaluate our business to ensure a healthy store portfolio. After careful consideration, we made the decision to close our store at 1255 Battery Street at lease end. Our last day at this location will be May 16 and all Starbucks partners working at the store received the opportunity to transfer to one of our nearby locations. Customers can find the nearest store location through the Starbucks app.

The announcement comes months after another downtown location at 99 Jackson Street closed in early February.
