Multiple temperature records broken in the Bay Area Friday
(KRON) — Several Bay Area cities broke temperature records Friday, KRON4 Meteorologist Lawrence Karnow reports.

Record highs for May 9 were set in Santa Rosa (90 degrees), Napa (87 degrees), Concord (92 degrees) and Hayward (88 degrees). Santa Rosa, Napa and Concord’s previous records were set in 2021. Hayward also broke its daily high for May 9 in 2024.

“Temperatures soared around the Bay Area, even a couple of records were broken today with high pressure dominating our area,” Karnow said.

Colder temperatures are forecast for the Bay Area on Mother’s Day. Rain is possible Monday.
