Milpitas authorities responded to the crash, which transpired at the 1500 block of Kennedy Drive, around 2:38 p.m. on Friday.
Arriving officers rendered aid to the critically injured motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, 48, was taken to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
According to police, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors to the crash, police said.
A parked vehicle was also involved in the crash, according to police.
