Tonight, rain comes to an end around the area as temperatures fall with drier air around. Lows will be in the 50s. Mother’s Day begins with comfortable conditions and sunshine. By lunchtime, a few showers will develop as temperatures climb into the 70s. Pop-up storms will stick around through Mother’s Day afternoon.
Next week, drier conditions finally arrive in Acadiana as this area of low pressure finally fades away. Unfortunately, this means temperatures heat up fast. Each afternoon we will add a few degrees onto the daytime highs. By Friday, we are likely to reach 90 degrees for the first time this year.
