SFD said they were dispatched to the 9600 block of Pine Cove Drive at 3:32 p.m., and investigators say one person was inside the home. They reported seeing heavy smoke and flames shooting from the front of the house.
SFD said it took the effort of 27 firefighters to bring the flames under control at 4 p.m.
They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries for further evaluation. No firefighters were injured.
The fire department says to call their fire prevention bureau if you or someone you know needs a free smoke detector at 318-673-6740.
