Fire breaks out at Collins Aerospace, investigation underway

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A small fire broke out at Colins Aerospace, resulting in the Rockford Fire Department being called to the scene.

On May 10, around 11:32 a.m., first responders were called to the manufacturer on Harrison Avenue for a fire on a set of stairs.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in under 12 minutes.

Fans were used to remove smoke from the building, according to Rockford Fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
