Every firefighter received a pin to commemorate their commitment to keeping the city safe.
New Orleans Fire Department Superintendent Roman Nelson said it’s great to see his team receive the much-deserved recognition.
“It just shows and recognizes that the New Orleans Fire Department is part of the public safety team. You know, why people don’t think of Crimestoppers as being related to New Orleans Fire Department. Public safety in New Orleans is a team effort—New Orleans Police, Fire, EMS—we all work together every day to keep the public safe, whether it be from crime, whether it be from injury, whether it be medical response. Whatever the public needs, we are there to help,” said Nelson
The day before, on Thursday, Crimestoppers also honored the NOPD officers who responded to the terror attack.
