Jugnauth is the first Winterhawks skater to win the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy since 2014, and the eighth overall for Portland. He ended the 2024-25 regular season with 13 goals, 76 assists, and 89 points.
He was one point short of being the only WHL defenseman to achieve the 90-point milestone since 1993-94.
The Western Conference First-Team All-Star continued to perform well in the postseason where he set three franchise playoff records in the Winterhawks’ upset of the Prince George Cougars in the first round –assists by a defenseman (14), points by a defenseman in a series (16), and assists by any skater (14).
Jugnauth ranks second all-time among Winterhawks defensemen with 49 career playoff points in 36 postseason games. He tied Keith Brown (1978–79) for the most points by a defenseman in a single postseason with 33 playoff points this year.
He also led the league with 35 power-play assists.
The Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy is awarded to the WHL defenseman who consistently demonstrated the best overall skill at his position throughout the regular season.
