This year’s Masked Singer winner Gretchen Wilson to headline R&B Jazz festival

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The season 13 finale of hit television show The Masked Singer aired Wednesday night, May 7, 2025, and the newly crowned champion may be closer to home than you think.

The show opened with a vibrant group performance of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” featuring the four masked finalists Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Coral, and Mad Scientist Monster, alongside panelist Rita Ora. 

The final four later battled it out for the golden trophy, with each delivering solo performances before the final reveal. 

Performing “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall, masked singer Pearl rode the black horse all the way to victory, revealing that Grammy-winning country music star Gretchen Wilson was under the mask. 

Wilson took home the Golden Mask Trophy and the title of Masked Singer season champion. 

If you missed last night’s episode, you may still have a chance to catch a live performance. Gretchen Wilson is scheduled to perform in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on Saturday, May 10, as the headliner of the Natchitoches Jazz and R&B Festival. 

The two-day event kicks off Friday, May 9, and promises an unforgettable weekend merging country and legendary funk. Night one is a “Tribute to Legends” night, featuring performances dedicated to Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift. 

Day two of the festival includes nine hours of live entertainment. The Bar-Kays are scheduled to perform at 7 p.m., followed by Wilson closing out the night at 9 p.m. 

With a Grammy to her name and a fresh win on The Masked Singer, Gretchen Wilson is bringing her chart-topping voice and new momentum straight to the stage in Natchitoches this weekend.
