According to the probable cause affidavits from the Mountain Home Police Department, the evening began when Munden forced his way into the midtown Harps store. Employees met him, told him the store was closed and he needed to leave. Munden ignored them, went to the deli area, stole some trays of sushi and left the store.
Responding officers were given a description and quickly found Munden in a nearby shopping center, shirtless, unsteady on his feet and smelling of alcohol. He was taken back to Harps where employees there positively identified him.
He was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center but bonded out a short time later.
While officers were searching for Munden, they noticed air conditioning units behind the Georgetown Square shopping center were on their side as if they had been pushed over. The next day, businesses started reviewing their surveillance video and it was discovered Munden had pushed 23 of the units over. A police investigator tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News it won’t be until all of the units are turned on for the summer that they will know the extent of the damage, thus more charges could be filed.
At this time, Munden is facing felony charges of commercial burglary, criminal attempt to commit commercial burglary and first degree criminal mischief along with misdemeanor charges of theft of property and public intoxication. His is free on $5,000 bond.
