On May 5, deputies arrested Wordrick Williams, 34, of Newton, Texas, on charges of obscuring view through a windshield, possession of a Schedule II narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was booked into the VPSO jail with bond set at $13,061. He later posted bond and was released.
On May 7, agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force arrested Robert Leroy Clary Jr., 55, of Leesville. Clary was charged with improper turning movements, possession of a Schedule II narcotic, and operating a vehicle while his license was suspended. His bond was set at $14,135, and he was released after posting bond.
Two more individuals were arrested on May 8. Amber Nicole Allison, 34, of Burkeville, Texas, was charged with two counts of cruelty to a juvenile and was also arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. Her bond was set at $50,000. She remains in custody at the Vernon Parish Jail.
Mason Blake Berube, 33, of Slagle, was charged with two counts of criminal trespass. His bond was set at $2,590. He posted bond and was released.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
