Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop near and north of I-20 by mid to late afternoon and last into the evening. South of I-20, only isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast.
The atmosphere will become very unstable by this afternoon with damaging wind gusts and large hail the main threats. The highest risk area is near and north of I-20 due to a higher concentration of storms. Widespread Flooding will not be an issue today.

However, only localized flooding is possible.
