1 arrested, over 100 cited in Madera CHP operation

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person was arrested and more than 100 citations were issued during a “special enforcement operation” in Madera County, the California Highway Patrol said.

Madera area CHP says various motor officers from Fresno, Merced and Bakersfield joined them on Wednesday for a “special enforcement operation” on Highway 41 and Avenue 12. A total of 16 officers were on patrol, focusing on “primary collision factor” violations.

According to CHP Madera, a total of 134 citations were issued to drivers and one person was arrested during the operation that went from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Out of the 134 citations, 122 were for speeding.
