According to a news release, the restaurant on David Drive will be serving up a variety of new dishes from chef Atzin Santos in a newly renovated space.
Guests can look forward to “a fresh dining experience that captures the heart and soul of Mexican cuisine” with some menu offerings including a tuna chicatana roll with cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds, tataki tuna, fried onion, fried garlic ponzu sauce, grilled vegetables and smoked sauce; and a tendedero de birria, which includes birria presented on a traditional Mexican clothesline, consommé, arroz a la Mexicana and refried beans.
Other items on the new menu will include a Mexican dynamite roll and a 32-ounce tomahawk.
The release states the Metairie spot was designed by JL Studio Design, which designed the Tacos del Cartel location in Downtown New Orleans.
