Police: Man hits 84-year-old in the head with a frying pan in Rockford
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Anthony Bell, 51, for hitting an 84-year-old man with a frying pan, court records show.

On May 7, around 8:23 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Albert Avenue for reports of a violent incident that led to ambulances being called.

The victim told authorities he was sleeping when Bell hit him on the side of the head with a pan and punched him.

A witness told officials the suspect became irate when he could not find onions, so he started flipping over tables.

Bell is charged with aggravated battery of a victim over the age of 60, domestic battery causing bodily harm and domestic battery causing physical contact.
