Ivonyai Lamb, 21, was taken into custody in North Carolina Wednesday by members of the New Hanover County SWAT team. He is now awaiting extradition to Abilene, where he will be officially charged with Murder.
Lamb is accused of shooting and killing Ramiel Sanders, 46, at the Cedar Creek Apartment Complex on Denton Street in February 2025.
Witnesses report hearing multiple gunshots and then one saw a suspect flee the scene in a grey truck.
Police say Lamb and Sanders were known to each other.
Both Lamb and his sister, Keighvoucia Lamb, were featured fugitives on Abilene Crime Stoppers’ Abilene’s Wanted Criminals list.
Keighvoucia was arrested last week for Aggravated Assault after she had been on the run for years.
