At approximately 1:45 p.m. on May 7, officers responded to the 1000 block of MacArthur Drive in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they located one individual who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Later that day, police arrested Marvin Humphery, 30, on charges of aggravated second-degree battery and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
