Wallace State Women’s Golf advances to National Tournament

| The Wallace State Women’s Golf team competed in the NJCAA South District Tournament at Cider Ridge Golf Club last week. The Lions finished the tournament in fourth place. Their finish earned them a spot in the National Tournament, May 13-16.

Wallace State shot a 358 in the opening round and 343 in the second round. They finished behind tournament champion Shelton State, Snead State, and Jefferson State..

Mallory Brooks led Wallace by shooting 76 and 75 for 151 (+7). She finished third overall and was named to the South District All-Tournament Team. Alyssa Warren finished 15th overall after shooting a 175, finishing as the second-highest Wallace State golfer.

Other team members include Lanie Cornelius, Jacie Blackwood, and Natalie Mason. JJ Adams coaches the team.
