Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said Lakeisha Henderson and Tiaira Moore were both charged with aggravated assault, a felony, in connection to a shooting inside a women’s restroom at Superior Crab on May 5. Their bonds were set at $100,000 each.
According to Jones, Henderson and Moore will also face misdemeanor charges for disturbance of a business and disorderly conduct by fighting.
The shooting left one person injured. Jones said that person is expected to face similar misdemeanor charges related to their involvement in the disturbance.
“The altercation caused panic throughout the restaurant, forcing patrons to flee and disrupting business operations on one of the busiest nights of the year. In addition to criminal charges, all three individuals involved will be held accountable for restitution to Superior Crab for the loss of income and property disruption caused by their actions,” said Jones. “Superior Crab was forced to shut down operations as law enforcement and first responders secured the scene and treated the victim. Many customers were unable to pay their bills due to the evacuation.”
The investigation is ongoing.
