The sculpture was donated by The Diamond Grill, a longtime Partner in Education and supporter of the arts and local youth. Students at Peabody Montessori created the design for the heart, drawing inspiration from the people, culture, and natural beauty of Central Louisiana.
The final design, developed collaboratively by students, celebrates unity and creativity within the region. The public event will feature school staff, students, district leaders, and representatives from Explore Alexandria/Pineville.
The “Heart of Louisiana” initiative places hand-painted heart sculptures throughout public spaces in the region to foster community pride, support local artists, and beautify the area.
The unveiling will take place at Peabody Montessori School.
