Heavy storms causing flash flooding this morning

(KLFY) — Heavy showers and storms have caused flash flooding across parts of Acadiana this morning.

Much of the area is starting to get a break from the torrential rains but a second wave of storms is expected later this morning after 8 a.m. and should last into the earlier afternoon hours. This second pulse of storms could produce heavier rains that lead to additional flash flooding.
