PAYSON, Utah (ABC4) — The southbound lanes on Interstate 15 were closed after a wrong-way crash involving three vehicles that blocked traffic. The lanes have since reopened.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling northbound on I-15 near Payson lost control and crossed the median into southbound lanes. The vehicle hit two other vehicles traveling southbound.

Payson Fire Department shared that they responded to the crash on X (formerly Twitter), and posted photos of them helping to clean up the aftermath and warning the public of delays.

UHP said that the vehicles were blocking the roadway, but they were moved out of traffic — one on the right side and one on the left side. Debris and fuel were cleaned up at the scene, and all lanes have reopened.

Medical responders treated minor injuries at the scene, but nobody was transported to the hospital.

There is no further information at this time.
