PONCHATOULA, La. (WGNO) — A Ponchatoula man was arrested in connection with a pornography involving juveniles case on Friday, May 1.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation into pornography involving juveniles being uploaded to social media and identified 27-year-old Herman Landry IV as the alleged person behind the uploads.

According to the sheriff’s office, Landry allegedly had several profiles on the social media platform.

Landry is reportedly from South Carolina and had moved to Ponchatoula.

According to the TPSO, investigators learned that “the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was also looking into one of the other profiles and, since Landry now resides in Tangipahoa Parish, all cases were forwarded to our ICAC team.”

Landry faces 28 counts of pornography involving juveniles and was also booked as a fugitive from Jasper County. TPSO officials said he will later be extradited to South Carolina to face charges there.
