Motorcyclist killed in south Abilene crash

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A motorcyclist was killed in a south Abilene crash Sunday evening.

John Thomas Bell, 37, of Abilene was pronounced dead at the hospital following the crash on the 1500 block of South Treadaway Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m.

The Abilene Police Department says Bell was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash and investigators do believe alcohol may have been a factor.

No other vehicles were involved and the investigation is still ongoing.
