Medical issue causes crash on I-15 near Bountiful, driver found not breathing
DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A driver was transported to the hospital Monday after police responded to a crash in Davis County and found him not breathing, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
On Monday, May 5, a 72-year-old man was driving on I-15 near Bountiful when he had what police believe to be a medical issue. He then hit the barrier on the right before crossing all lanes and crashing into the left barrier, causing the vehicle to roll.

When first responders arrived at the scene, the driver was not breathing. He was later transported to the hospital in serious condition. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash caused a traffic backup in the area as two HOV lanes on southbound I-15 were closed, but traffic conditions have since returned to normal.
