Medical issue causes crash on I-15 near Bountiful, driver found not breathing

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A driver was transported to the hospital Monday after police responded to a crash in Davis County and found him not breathing, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

On Monday, May 5, a 72-year-old man was driving on I-15 near Bountiful when he had what police believe to be a medical issue. He then hit the barrier on the right before crossing all lanes and crashing into the left barrier, causing the vehicle to roll.

The crash caused a traffic backup in the area as two HOV lanes on southbound I-15 were closed, but traffic conditions have since returned to normal.
