Logansport softball falls in Division IV (NS) state title game

SULPHUR, LA (KTAL/KMSS) — On Sunday, Logansport softball took on LaSalle in the Division IV non-select state championship game, and despite a hot start, the Lady Tigers fell 11-2.

In the top of the first, Ainsley Morvan got things started in Sulphur, with a homerun to right field, putting the Lady Tigers up 1-0.

LaSalle was quick to answer, with three runs coming in the bottom of the first inning.

Logansport was able to cut the lead down to 4-2 with a run coming in the fourth, but they never could come back from first inning, and LaSalle kept adding on runs.

Logansport softball finished the season as state runner-ups and a record of 23-10.
