According a social media post from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, investigators with the task force, with the assistance of IMPD SWAT, conducted a search of a home in the 2100 block of E 34th Street.
The search was the result “of a lengthy investigation for suspected trafficking of firearms and narcotics” out of the home, IMPD officials said.
During the investigation, 24-year-old Anthony Taylor Jr. and 24-year-old Gregory Henderson III were identified as individuals associated with the home. The post read that Taylor was on federal probation for unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon and was classified as a serious violent felon after a previous robbery conviction.
The post read that detectives reportedly saw Taylor with two firearms, including an AR-style pistol, in the driveway of the home and were granted a search warrant. During the search, both Taylor and Henderson were taken into custody and the following items were reportedly located:
Taylor was arrested on preliminary charges of possessing a firearm as a serious violent felon. He’s also being held on pending federal charges for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Henderson was arrested on an open felony warrant for resisting law enforcement.
