By rssfeeds-admin SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Cross Lake is closed “until further notice”. Shreveport police announced the closure on Friday after days of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
In a news release, Shreveport police said Cross Lake had reached flood stage, and as a result, all boating and recreational activities were halted and the lake was closed.
SPD Cross Lake Patrol monitors the conditions and will notify the public when the lake is deemed safe for reopening. Residents are urged to avoid the areas and exercise caution near floodwaters.
