Beautiful today, heavy storm threat starts tomorrow

Comfortably mild in Acadiana this Monday morning as temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s. Another beautiful day is ahead as mostly sunny skies warm the area to near 82° as humidity levels remain comfortable. Clouds increase tonight with lows falling into the upper 60s.

A Flood Watch is in effect for Acadiana starting tomorrow and will last through Thursday. Heavy storms become likely and widespread tomorrow afternoon. Multiple rounds of heavy storms continue over a 3 to 4 day period. Much of the area could see 4″ to7″ inches of rain with isolated area seeing over 10″ inches of rainfall. Flash flooding is the main concern but there will be a low risk for severe weather too. Damaging winds or an isolated tornado is possible each day.
