Landry won with 52% of the vote, according to complete but unofficial results from the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office. “Sonny” Marchbanks received 6% of the vote, and Malcolm Myer earned 42% of the vote.
The seat was previously held by Larry Selders, who was elected to the District 14 Senate seat, replacing Cleo Fields. Fields now serves as the U.S. Representative for Louisiana’s 6th Congressional District.
Landry filed to run on March 12, while Marchbanks and Myer filed on March 14, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office.
