Motorcyclist pulled from Fresno canal after fatal collision

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A motorcyclist was pulled from a Fresno canal following a fatal collision Friday night.

Police say they received a call around 9:30 p.m. regarding a collision involving a truck and motorcycle on Fedora and Maroa avenues.

On scene, officers say they found a motorcyclist in his early 20s and his motorcycle submerged in a canal. Fresno Fire was able to pull the man from the water, who was then transported to a local hospital.

Police say he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries and is cooperating with officers. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but updates will be provided as they become available.
